Ebere Eze stole the show at the Emirates, hitting the first Arsenal hat-trick against Spurs since 1978 as Arsenal cruised to a dominant 4–1 win in the North London Derby.
Arsenal controlled the first half from start to finish. Spurs sat deep, defended poorly and paid the price, conceding twice before the break — Trossard in the 36th minute and Eze in the 41st. Tottenham struggled to get out of their own half and offered little threat going forward.
The Gunners didn’t slow down after half-time. Just one minute into the second half, Eze grabbed his second in the 46th minute, putting Arsenal in complete control.
Tottenham were given a small lifeline in the 55th minute when Richarlison spotted David Raya off his line and lobbed him from just inside the Arsenal half — a moment of real quality that briefly lifted the away fans.
But the comeback never came. In the 76th minute, Eze completed his hat-trick on his North London Derby debut, ending any remaining hope for Spurs and sealing a statement win for Arsenal.
Across the 90 minutes, Arsenal dominated the game, controlled possession and dictated the tempo. Spurs had flashes of quality but struggled to break into Arsenal’s box and looked second best throughout.
Today’s result puts Arsenal six points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table ahead of their meeting at 16:30 on Sunday 30 November — a match that could have huge implications for the title race.
